Big data & artificial intelligence: who’s in control?

Highlights from the 2nd Express Debate last night on big data & artificial intelligence, moderated by Jean-Paul Judson and featuring Kalliopi Spyridaki from SAS, Sebastiano Toffaletti from European Digital SME Alliance, and Bill Echikson from CEPS – Centre for European Policy Studies. Unfortunately, Ségolène Martin from Kantify and Ambassador for Women in AI for Belgium had to withdraw.

Europe has set a global standard through its General Data Privacy Regulation, but there are major ethical, societal, economic and geopolitical implications ahead on the use and development of artificial intelligence through data. They may just be tools, but they are powerful tools.
